The Quiet Work Behind the Scenes If I have been a bit quieter lately, it’s not for lack of ideas, but because the “construction site” is in full swing.
I’ve started the first module of Career Mastery in Romanian ”Carieră cu Miez 8.0”, and the response humbled me - I actually had to increase the number of seats twice because the need for strategic guidance is higher than ever.
Between finalizing the English version for a March launch (which will be gender-neutral!) and locking in the calendar for the Romanian-American University leadership program that will take place in April and the career coaching specialization I will deliver in May, my focus has been inward, on design and delivery.
We are entering a high-stakes season. February and March are the “peak” months for job applications in Europe. But here’s the professional reality: the gap between a standard candidate and a “future-proof” one is widening. The trend I’m seeing is a desperate need for a skills upgrade - specifically, becoming AI-ready and strategically indispensable. Most people are still trying to win a 2026 game with a 2021 playbook.
This is where the two meet. My focus on building “Career Muscles” isn’t just a metaphor for my clients; it’s my business strategy for growing roots before spreading branches. After 20 years in Training and 9 years in Career Coaching, I’m merging these two worlds into a “Swedish Buffet” of learning and development.
The Lesson: The Art of Not Breaking Your Neck
The practical takeaway here is about balance. I’ve been burnout-free for five years now. My last burnout in 2021 was minor compared to the 2018 one. I learned that you can run at full speed only if you know how to build your capacity. I am delivering on a promise of personalized consulting and group training without breaking my neck, because I’ve built the “muscles” to sustain it.
Here is my rebel take:
The most profitable skill you can acquire in 2026 is the ability to slow down and choose.
Everyone is rushing to learn everything. I say: stop. Most skills are noise. The real Return on Investment comes from choosing the 2-3 skills that make you irreplaceable and ignoring the rest. I’ve had seven businesses - some failed, some succeeded - and the only reason I’m still standing is that I stopped trying to run every race.
The Year for Muscles: I’m ready to hold your hand through the long-term journey of career strategy. I’m only keeping 2-3 seats open for 1-on-1 coaching over the next 6 weeks to ensure my “Career Mastery” students get my full focus
How are your career muscles looking for 2026? Are you lifting heavy or just keeping busy?
